Soccer Gets First Win, Defeating Mercy

Ladywood Soccer gets its first win of the season, defeating Catholic League rival Mercy on Friday night, 4-1 at High Velocity. This is also first win as a Blazer for Coach Zach Wilkes. Ladywood High School congratulates 6 seniors who have decided to continue their athletic career at the college level next season. Joe Carver named Head Varsity Soccer Coach.

Joe Carver has been named the new Head Varsity Soccer Coach at Ladywood High School.  Carver will be replacing Ken Shingledecker who stepped down last Spring after 8 highly successful years. Coach Carver moved here from England in 2009 to play soccer at Schoolcraft college and went on to graduate with a Sports Management degree

Ladywood dominated play as the Blazers beat a young Lamphere squad 5-0 in a Regional Semifinal Game. From Saturday, Ladywood did what it had to do as the Blazers tied Regina 2-2 to finish in 2nd place in the CHSL Central and qualify for the CHSL playoffs.
