Ladywood Hockey defeated Bloomfield Hills last night 7-0 at Southfield Sports Arena. Blazers end the regular season with a 20-0-0-1 record, securing the first place spot in the MGHSHL D1 Conference.
Blazers were lead by senior Cece Werner, who netted in a hat trick. Senior, Katie Hayward ended with 3 points (2 goals, 1 assist). Senior Cristina Rotondo and junior Brooke Speigel netted the other goals for the Blazers.
Sophomore goalie Isabella Lorelli got the start and shut out with 13 saves on the night.
Ladywood begins the Michigan Metro Girls High School Hockey League State Tournament next Monday, March 6 at 6pm. Quarterfinal opponent is still TBD. All games will be played at Novi Ice Arena.
